What we do

The Nest offers psychological guides and tools focusing on pregnancy and the post-natal period, allowing mothers to nurture their mind, and build their own mental Nest. Here you will find digital resources that are educational and solution-focused, made with mothers in mind.

All of our information is evidence-based and created by a mother and registered therapist.

Why we do it

The Nest was built to offer practical, simple, and impactful psychological tools that can help women better understand the emotional changes and psychological challenges that can arise during pregnancy and into motherhood.

Matresence (becoming a mother) is a time when women commonly experience changes in their mental wellness; be that feelings of anxiety, stress, anger, grief, sadness, or a combination many such difficult emotions. While this is an extremely common experience, it is not an easy one, and stigma still exists which can limit how we share and talk about these experiences.

In addition, throughout pregnancy and early motherhood women are often low in energy and time, while continually prioritising others, leaving scarce ability to truly invest in addressing these emotional challenges. This is why our tools aim to be efficient; easy to understand and easy to implement.

We understand that finding the time and money to see a therapist is not always possible. We also understand that not everyone needs or wants therapy, but seeks more than self-help gurus and inspirational quotes from social media. Oftentimes, simple tools or resources can make a big difference to how you get through your day to day.

We have created resources that can inform and guide women to take care of their psychological health in a way that is affordable, approachable, and can fit into their schedule.
